Bullet; Red Chitchat about Polls

I do find this tool pretty useful to know a little more about my watchers :)
So get prepared to see some of them pop out on your notification page !

Simple and anecdotical question for this week.. It came to my mind because I'm totally the kind who forget to eat when making art, or at least who don't want to stop just for eating when I'm alone at home.
And I start being used to hear a "Don't forget to eat, right ?" from my mate when she phones me, like she did yesterday.

People around me don't really get why I'm so uninterested per such a basic need when I'm behind my computer. This "You're a Geeeeek !" (rolling eyes) cliché, right. But we all have our priorities and it's so hard for me to focus on a daily basis, once I find concentration, I don't want to loose it.

So I'm just curious if that's the case for anyone else out there, and I'm ready to buy a "FREAK" sign if not, héhé ;)

Bullet; Red About using the Watch List in a better way

Linked to my journal about interactions on dA, that you can read here, I noticed another "problem" concerning my way of using dA. And this time it's about the watch list.

I'm watching tons of people whose art inspire me greatly. And that's, in itself, the so-called problem. It's only about art.
I'm watching so many great artists and groups that I like for different reasons, that the things posted by meaningful people just get lost in the tsunami of notifications. And with the limited time I have online, I simply don't have the envy to search for it. Really.
Fact is, I'm actually using dA's watching system as I should use a site like Pinterest. Like a gallery of great things, of art I should save somewhere in case it might inspire me later, when in reality, there is few chance I'll check it later as I'm most enclined to look for inspiration through the search tool or Google when I start a work.

Obviously, I didn't get in touch with all those people I'm (not-really) following, and a good part of them being well-known artists, contact is pretty limited.

Reason why I'll try to clean my watch list a bit, to focus on people who inspire me as artists AND humans, moreover if they are open to exchange. Lower a bit my need of being surrounded by perfect yet cold art, and raise the one of being surrounded by authentic and warm beings, if you see what I mean. Positivity !

Anyway, that's just some food for mind, in case you already felt lost yourself in front of your 10000-notifications page.

Are you watching the right people ? Those who are helping you to grow in one way or another ?

As always, I'm all hear (eyes in fact) when it comes to your advices and thoughts, so feel free to comment. :)

Bullet; Red What's coming next

A cool yet simple concept for a journal I've seen here and there, which might enlarge your community circle a bit, coming this week end. Stay tuned !:bademoticon:

I'm off for now because it took me times to write this entry and I need to eat something, you see... ;)

I watch a lot of people (336, ha ha ha) but I think I'll reduce this...
For three years I couldn't keep up with DA and having over 2,000 notifications is truly overwhelming. So while I'm catching up, I also try to just unwatch those I just don't relate to.
For example, I followed a lot of people who have a certain art style, but now that I've evolved, I just don't get what did I find interesting in them ^^'

So for now, just like you wrote, I'm trying to clean up and keep the ones I truly find interesting, and also people I can interact with. Even if it's just them saying thank you, it can grow if I keep commenting \o/
