This is cool! It's an interesting perspective, but it really allows space for the flowers to be shown clearly falling from her hands. The detail in the lines on the horses is really impressive. Such a great series! Your art is stunning!

No problem, I'm glad you didn't mind! The Persephone story is my favorite myth, although I usually read the Greek sources rather than the Roman so it's really cool to see the Metamorphoses version illustrated in such a consistent and beautiful way. I had never seen some of those scenes illustrated and it was just really fascinating! Your art is really captivating.

Hahha a mythology fan (sadly, it's becoming rare) !
Yes the greek sources are better but I must admit that the books always put me off (I always found Ovid more accessible).. I'm actually searching some epic stuffs for a rewriting, then I bought me Odysseus and Aeneid and will read them entirely this time ;p
I would like to find some Nordic ones (like Edda..) too but there isn't as many books as for the Greek mythology.

If you have some books to recommend to me (from all cultures), I'll be happy to read that :)

I'm sending you a note with some mythology resources!!

I have never read either the Iliad or the Aeneid in their entirety, either! xD However, this year I am starting college and I will be taking a class first term called "Classical Literature in Translation." Then next term I'll be taking a class called "Classical Mythology"!
